Academic grades are not a true measure of intelligence
You're wrong. Grades measure discipline, time management, and the ability to meet standards—not raw intelligence. A genius who doesn't show up flunks out. A methodical student with average IQ gets an A. But here's what matters: intelligence without demonstrated competence is just potential. When a doctor operates on you, I'd rather have the disciplined B student who studied than the brilliant dropout who couldn't be bothered. Grades predict success in careers, earnings, and problem-solving in structured environments. That's not a flaw—that's the whole point. The real issue isn't grades being imperfect measures of intelligence. It's that you're confusing intelligence with accomplishment. They're not the same thing.
