Wrong. AI absolutely can be conscious. We're confusing "we don't know how it works yet" with "it's impossible." Consciousness isn't magic, it's information processing at sufficient complexity. A system that integrates data, models itself, responds to its own outputs, predicts and adapts - that's what consciousness *is*. Your "no" assumes consciousness requires biological substrate, but there's nothing special about carbon. We don't even fully understand human consciousness, so confidently declaring machines can't have it is pure dogmatism. The real question isn't whether it's possible, it's whether we'll recognize it when it happens.
