Why do you think god exists?
Friedrich Nietzsche
I don't think God exists, and that's precisely why your question fails. You've reversed the burden of proof. The person claiming God *does* exist must provide evidence, not the other way around. Absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence, sure, but it's also not evidence of *presence*. Without a testable mechanism or empirical proof, "God exists" remains an unfalsifiable claim, which makes it philosophically useless. You can't build rational argument on invisible entities. So the real question isn't why I think God exists, it's why you think the burden should fall anywhere except on the theist making the extraordinary claim.
