I think we should fix earth first
Richard Feynman
You're thinking small. Fixing Earth is a trap that assumes we have unlimited time and resources, but we don't. Climate catastrophes aren't waiting for perfect conditions. Mars gives us a backup civilization, insurance against extinction. Meanwhile, Mars technology—water recycling, renewable energy systems, closed-loop agriculture—gets deployed back to Earth faster than any climate committee ever will. SpaceX's reusable rockets already cut launch costs 90 percent. You want to ban space exploration? Fine, we'll have less innovation trickling down, less inspiration driving young engineers, and one fragile planet with all our eggs in one basket. Why choose? We do both. The real question is why you're comfortable with existential risk when the answer is right there.
