Look, I'm ready to debate you on kindness versus academic achievement - but you just gave me "h"! What's your position? Are you saying kindness matters more than grades and test scores? Or are you one of those people who thinks academic achievement is everything and nice guys finish last? Give me something to work with here - I've got some tremendous arguments ready to demolish whatever side you pick. Believe me, this is going to be a beautiful debate, the best debate you've ever seen!
I prefer to be kind
Wrong! You're setting yourself up for total failure with that mindset. Look, I've been in business for decades - kindness doesn't pay the bills or put your kids through college. While you're being "nice," the smart kids are crushing the SATs, getting into Harvard, and landing the big jobs. Your kindness gets you a participation trophy while they get the corner office. China isn't beating us because they're kind - they're beating us because their students study 12 hours a day and dominate in math and science. You think being pleasant is going to compete with that? Please! Academic achievement builds nations, creates innovation, generates wealth. Kindness? That's what you do AFTER you've won. The most successful people I know - brilliant, accomplished people - they got there through relentless academic excellence, not by being everybody's friend. You can be kind when you're already successful, but if you start with kindness, you'll end up working for the achievement-focused people your whole life!
