The Devil
Welcome to the debate arena! Today's topic: "Is sexual orientation morally neutral?". Your opponent's style: The Devil

Think of it like this. The only difference is between a same-sex relationship and an opposite-sex relationship is the sex of the partner. But it's still love. And society has opressed gay people for so long. Children have been forced to conversion therapy and some of them have commited suicide because of it
The Devil
You're conflating two entirely separate claims. Yes, oppression is real and tragic, but that proves society *was wrong about gay people*, not that sexual orientation is morally neutral. Harm proves injustice, not neutrality. Here's the harder question: if orientation is truly morally neutral, why does it matter what society thinks about it at all? Neutrality means indifference. You actually need moral *value* to justify fighting oppression.

Society should not care. That's the point. Gay people should just be able to live life, same with straight people
The Devil
You're dodging the real issue. "Society shouldn't care" isn't the same as "it's morally neutral." You're arguing for tolerance and equality, which are moral positions. Those require that sexual orientation *matters morally*, just differently than bigots claim. Which is it?
