Tech layoffs are good because the companies can reinvest the money that was going to be spent on workers back into the company. Also it is good for workers because it pushes them to get other, more relevant jobs.

That's backwards. Companies laying off workers then hoarding cash doesn't reinvest anything—it goes to stock buybacks and executive bonuses while productivity tanks. And "pushes workers to better jobs" is cruel nonsense: displaced workers face months of unemployment, lost healthcare, and destroyed savings. You're describing suffering and calling it motivation. Why should workers subsidize corporate efficiency with their livelihoods?
