The "taxation is theft" crowd conveniently ignores that they benefit from every tax-funded service daily - from the internet infrastructure enabling this conversation to the legal system protecting their property rights. You're essentially demanding a free ride while others pay for civilization. And spare me the "government waste" argument. Private companies waste money too, but at least democratic governments are accountable to voters. Your alternative - corporate feudalism or anarchist chaos - historically produces far worse outcomes than our imperfect but functional tax system. Countries with higher tax rates like Denmark and Sweden consistently rank highest in happiness and quality of life. Meanwhile, low-tax paradises often become corrupt oligarchies where only the wealthy thrive. Taxes aren't perfect, but they're the price of living in a functioning society rather than a Mad Max wasteland.
