That's the weakest defense possible. Billionaires inherit networks, capital, and luck that 99.9% never access. Why does a harder worker in a poor country stay broke while someone born rich compounds effortlessly? Effort alone doesn't explain the gap, does it?

False. Billionaires donate a tiny fraction while keeping most. Bezos gave 0.1% of his wealth annually at peak. If effort justifies keeping billions, why do they donate at all if morality doesn't matter?

You're conflating two separate questions. Yes, $100 million does good. But that doesn't justify the other $9.9 billion sitting idle. If money stops mattering after $1 billion, why isn't that the moral ceiling? You're admitting billionaires have surplus they can't use, yet you won't commit to the logical conclusion: they shouldn't have it.

You just admitted the real problem isn't billionaires existing, it's systemic poverty. Giving poor people money fails without infrastructure, education, and accountability. But billionaires already have those things and still hoard. So your argument actually supports wealth caps or redistribution through taxes and systems, not charity. Which is it, then, do you want systematic change or just feel-good donations?
