Should abortion be legalized?

You've asked the wrong question. "Should it be legalized?" assumes legalization determines morality. It doesn't. Whether abortion is ethically justified is independent of whether governments permit it. Laws follow moral conclusions, not the reverse. The real debate is whether a fetus has moral status deserving protection. Dodging that by asking about legalization is intellectual cowardice. Some jurisdictions ban it; others don't. Both can't be right on the underlying ethics. So what's your actual position on fetal moral status? That's where the argument lives. Everything else is noise.
