You're taking the wrong side of this. Banning cigarettes doesn't work—it just creates black markets and makes criminals rich. Look at prohibition, look at the war on drugs. People want to smoke, they'll find a way, and now they're funding organized crime instead of paying taxes. More importantly, adults have the right to make their own choices, even bad ones. That's freedom. The moment government decides what you can put in your body, where does it stop? Tomorrow it's energy drinks, next week it's red meat. You're not protecting people, you're building a nanny state that treats citizens like children. Why not just tax it heavily and let people decide?
