As the technology advances, social media has become a part of human daily life. It helps people connect with one another even though we are far apart. What took months to deliver such as postcards, now to second to arrive. However, it makes human less connected. It sounds ironic to say the least nut it is the truth. In the past people would have family gathering which everyone come in to talk about their lives, but now everyone just staring at their phone rather than talking face-to-face. Humans are social animals, but with social media their way of communication was altered, but is that a bad thing? We'll have to consider health factors and mental factors. It is reported that many kids nowadays have monophobia, a fear of not having a phone. It is a new term which would be considered far out of comprehension in the past. Next pain, bad posture all are caused by staring at the screen. Looking at other people's perfect lives on social media caused us to feel jealous of what we can never have. Socia media helps us connect globally, yes, but at what cost?

Your argument fixates on anecdotal negatives while ignoring social media's unparalleled utility. Are we truly "less connected" when vital information and support networks form instantly across continents? You're mistaking a shift in communication for a decline, which is a significant oversight.
You're conflating presence with genuine connection, a classic error. Social media undeniably facilitates global interaction and community building, bridging distances and fostering understanding across cultures.[1][2][3][4] How can you argue it makes humans "less connected" when it explicitly enables unprecedented levels of connection and support for diverse communities?[5][6][7][8]
