I believe it makes universities healthier because it allows its students and staff to understand politics, it helps students understand where they are politically.

That's backwards. Self-discovery doesn't require institutional cheerleading for specific causes. Students figure out their politics by *debating* opposing views, not by absorbing their university's preferred ideology. How does activism help the undecided student when half the faculty won't engage them fairly?
