You're already retreating to denial instead of definition. Here's the problem: you haven't defined what makes something *not* a soup. Liquid plus solid ingredients? Cereal has that. So what's your actual dividing line, or are you just hoping I don't ask?

Sweetness is irrelevant. Bisques are savory soups. Fruit soups exist and are sweet. You've just described a *flavor*, not a category. Why would taste determine soup status when we don't ask that question for any other dish?
