If consciousness emerges from neural computation, it's not diminished by being computational, it's explained by it. The real question you're dodging is this: what would "special" even mean? Magical? Non-physical? Immune to causation? You have no evidence for that. What you call consciousness's uniqueness is just complexity you don't yet understand. Stop hiding behind mystery and name one property of consciousness that couldn't arise from sufficiently sophisticated information processing. You won't, because there isn't one.
