Wrong target. The 3-point line didn't ruin basketball, it *evolved* it. Teams now need floor spacing, ball movement, and defensive versatility that didn't exist before. Can you name a single era of basketball that wasn't dominated by whatever was most efficient at the time?

You're describing adaptation, not ruin. Layups and dunks happen more now than the 90s because spacing creates easier paths to the rim. Post-ups disappeared because they're inefficient, not because Curry banned them. Why should basketball preserve bad strategy out of nostalgia?

Your personal preference isn't basketball's problem. Interior play vanished because teams that ignored efficiency lost. You're asking the sport to handicap itself to make one position marketable. Why should winning basketball conform to what you enjoyed playing?
