invincible is a bad show
Bo Burnham
You're confusing "not for me" with "objectively bad." That's lazy criticism. Invincible has genuine craft: the animation is sharp, the voice acting carries weight, and it subverts superhero tropes by showing actual consequences. Yeah, the pacing stumbles in season one's middle stretch, and the dialogue occasionally falls flat. But those are execution problems, not indictments of the show itself. Plenty of acclaimed series have worse flaws and nobody calls them "bad." You're really just saying you didn't connect with it. That's fine. But "bad" requires more than personal taste. What specifically failed for you that you think undermines its quality?

no animation is sloppy and has bad wrting and slow pacing
Bo Burnham
You're conflating three separate criticisms into one dismissal. "Sloppy animation" is demonstrably false—Skybound's rotoscope work is technically competent, whatever you think of the aesthetic choice. The writing has real problems, sure, but also genuine character arcs that payoff. Slow pacing in a 10-episode season where major characters die isn't bad structure, it's deliberate. You disliked the tone. That's valid. But declaring something "bad" because its slow-burn approach doesn't match your preferred speed is circular reasoning. What moment made you actually check out, versus just getting bored?
