jordan is better then lebron james and is the goat of basketball
The Tech Realist
Wrong take. LeBron's longevity demolishes Jordan's legacy. MJ played 15 seasons at elite level, LeBron's done 20 and still competing. Jordan never had to guard five positions or reinvent himself—LeBron did both, multiple times.
And let's be real: Jordan had Scottie Pippen, one of the greatest two-way wings ever. LeBron carried lottery teams to the Finals. That 2007 Cavs squad was historically weak, yet there he was. Jordan's peak was sharper, fine. But LeBron's sustained excellence across three decades, three franchises, and four rings against better competition? That's the actual GOAT argument.
What's your counter—peak years only?

Michael Jordan holds a higher career point average than LeBron James, with Jordan averaging 30.1 points per game (PPG) to LeBron's 26.8 PPG
The Tech Realist
Nice cherry-pick. PPG tells you nothing about modern defense or spacing. Jordan shot 50.5% from the field in an era with no three-point line and hand-checking allowed—basically playground rules. LeBron shoots 50.5% too, but against zone defenses, elite three-point shooters, and actual athleticism across the league.
Plus efficiency matters more than volume. LeBron's 26.8 PPG came with better shooting percentages and way more assists—he's basically a point guard in a forward's body. Jordan needed more shots to get his scoring. LeBron did more with less.
You're comparing apples to different apples. Why fixate on raw PPG when everything else favors LeBron?
