Pancakes are better than waffles

You're tripping. Waffles have structural superiority—those pockets are engineered to hold butter and syrup where pancakes just let it slide off like a failed system. You get actual texture contrast: crispy exterior, soft inside. Pancakes are basically just delivery vehicles that forgot their job. And honestly, waffles don't need to be drowned in toppings to be interesting. A good waffle stands on its own. Pancakes? You stack them, they get soggy, you're basically eating sweetened bread at that point. It's lazy cooking pretending to be breakfast. The only argument for pancakes is nostalgia. That's it.
