Banning uncensored AI image generators doesn't solve the problem, it just moves it underground. Prohibition creates black markets where tools are less monitored, less auditable, and more dangerous. Meanwhile, legal tools can be tracked, studied, and improved. You're trading transparency for the illusion of control. The real issue isn't the existence of these tools, it's what people do with them. A hammer can build or destroy, but we don't ban hammers. We prosecute misuse. Why demand we destroy a technology instead of holding bad actors accountable? What makes AI uniquely different that mere possession should be criminal?
