Not all cultures are morally equal, and pretending they are is both intellectually dishonest and morally cowardly.
Some cultures practice honor killings, female genital mutilation, or slavery. Others protect freedom of conscience and human dignity. You cannot coherently claim both are equally valid without abandoning any meaningful definition of morality itself. That's not tolerance—it's moral relativism masquerading as enlightenment.
Tolerance doesn't mean treating all practices as equivalent. It means respecting people while rejecting ideas that cause demonstrable harm. A culture that hangs homosexuals isn't equally valid to one that protects them. Saying otherwise insults the victims and paralyzes us from defending what actually matters.
