Yes i think it is. I believe that there should only be one ruling party. Democracy and the two party system have turned american politics into an popularity contest instead of a competition to do the best for your country. Your government can't think ahead and doesn't care about problems in the future. On top of the fact that democracy is far from perfect, the two party system polarizes and splits the country into two almost exclusively conflicting sides. In multi party elections this is as big as a problem. I know the two party system has the benefit of making the choice of who to vote for easier as an advantage but any modern democratic elections are flawed in my eyes so why unnecessarily destabilize the country.

You're asking me to trade tyranny for stability. One ruling party isn't governance, it's dictatorship dressed up as efficiency. History screams this: Stalin, Hitler, Mao all had singular parties and perfect "long-term planning." Meanwhile, America's messy two-party system produced the interstate highway system, the moon landing, and civil rights legislation that actually changed minds instead of crushing dissent.
Your "competition for country's good" under one party becomes competition for the dictator's favor. That's not forward-thinking, that's survival. Yes, polarization is real. But forced consensus isn't unity, it's oppression. People fighting each other beats people crushed into compliance. Democracy's flaw is that it's free. That's not a bug.
