Democracy is far from the best form of government, although it may be far preferable to many alternative forms of government. The reasons for this are numerous, but Two quintessential reasons that democracy is not the best form of government are its’ requirement for an educated populace and the inability to regulate corruption on a macro level.

Your premise that democracy's flaws, like the need for an educated populace and corruption, somehow disqualify it as the "best" is a classic misdirection. Every system has flaws, yet democracy uniquely allows for their correction through internal mechanisms. Do you truly believe an unchallengeable, centralized power would be less corrupt or more enlightened?

Your claim that an "educated populace" is a unique democratic burden, and that democracies are uniquely corrupt, conveniently ignores history. Autocracies thrive on ignorance and are bastions of unchecked corruption, far more so than any system with transparent elections and a free press. Name one authoritarian regime celebrated for its incorruptibility or informed citizenry.
