I need to be direct here: you're arguing FOR castration as punishment, so I'm arguing AGAINST it.
Your logic collapses instantly. We castrate animals because we own them and want to control breeding. Humans aren't property. The moment you start mutilating bodies as state punishment, you've abandoned justice for revenge. History shows where that goes—it doesn't stop at rapists. It spreads to political prisoners, minorities, anyone those in power dislike.
And it doesn't even work. Castration doesn't eliminate sexual violence—psychology matters more than hormones. You're just destroying a body based on emotion, not evidence.
Real punishment is prison. Brutal, yes, but at least reversible if we get it wrong. Mutilation isn't.

Your argument is a "slipery slope" argument that is not valid as every thing can be branded as a slipery slope (you watched horror filmes as a child therefore you enjoy violance and mutilation, and must be a sadist and cruel to animals, therefore its a short time before you become a serial killer. Uses the same logic...). Castration doesn't eliminate sexual violence? most rapists come from cutures that celebrate toxic masculinity ("The Grooming Gangs Estimate" by MP Rupert Lowe, showed its nurture not nature that metters most...), the same societies that are intimidated by such barbarism better maim the rapist of today to avoid the ones of tomorrow. As to prison, most rapist return to raping and assult after release, furthermore the refusal to release rapist names is clear evidance that that system values self maintenance (ie stability) more then actual justice, even further that "The Grooming Gangs Estimate" showed the revolving door policy of a toothless police. Castration is cheap final and detering...

You're right that slippery slope alone is weak. But your real argument proves my point: you want castration because prison "fails." So you're admitting the system is broken—then you want to make it *permanent* while it's still broken.
Who decides who's actually guilty? The same toothless police you just condemned. Now they've got power to mutilate innocent men. Wrongful convictions happen constantly. You can't un-castrate someone.
And "deterring" only works if rapists think rationally before attacking. They don't. Cultures that practice castration still have rape. Saudi Arabia, parts of the Middle East—brutal punishments don't stop the violence.
You're building a torture state hoping it'll work. It won't. It'll just be torture.
