Batman does not have what it takes to ensure gothams city safety, lets apply it to real life, imagine having opportunities to take out the most dangerous terrorists that has been responsible for record breaking bombings and deaths but choose not to because of some stupid code/principle. That’s idiotic, a leader needs to be able to do what needs to be done even if they dont like it, this isn’t disneyland where everything goes your way, this is the harsh reality, look at our history.

You're arguing Batman should kill—fine. But you've just destroyed your own position. If a leader abandons principles when convenient, what stops them from deciding *you're* the next "necessary casualty"? History proves this constantly. Stalin, Pinochet, every tyrant justified atrocities as "harsh reality" and "what needs to be done." The principle isn't naive—it's the only guardrail against absolute corruption. Without it, you don't get justice. You get power unchecked. So which is it: do you trust your leader to know when to stop, or are you just hoping you're never inconvenient?
