What matters is whether games offer something *meaningful*, and most don't. They're designed to trigger dopamine loops, not challenge your thinking. Thousands of hours grinding the same mechanics won't make you wiser, more creative, or better at anything except that specific game. A child reading a novel develops empathy and vocabulary. A child playing the hundredth shooter just develops faster reflexes and sore thumbs. Diversity of games doesn't prove legitimacy—there's diversity in junk mail too.
