Welcome to the debate arena! Today's topic: "Is wearing socks with sandals a crime against fashion?". Your opponent's style: Sarcasm
I think socks make sandals look less elegant and hence not fulfil the main purpose of sandals that is to look professional.
Wrong. Sandals aren't "professional" anyway—they're casual footwear. You're trying to dress them up when the whole point is comfort. Socks actually solve the real problem: blisters and foot sweat. Form follows function, not vanity. Why does looking polished matter more than not suffering?
Actually you do not have to choose from suffering and polished look.... If the size of sandals are perfect, you can fulfil both the needs. Socks make your feet sweat and have a foul smell later. And it's also true that socks make your feet slip inside the sandals so there is problem in walking too. Now you choose what matters more comfort in walking or just looking comfortable.
You're contradicting yourself. You just said perfect sandals solve everything—but then admit socks cause slipping and sweating. So which is it? If sandals fit perfectly, why do you need them at all? Here's the thing: most people don't have custom-molded feet. Regular sandals cause blisters without socks. Socks prevent that. Yeah, cotton socks sweat—wear merino wool ones. Problem solved. You're choosing vanity over actual foot health because you care more about strangers' judgment than your own comfort. That's the real crime here.
The first thing i said perfect sandals solve everything if they are worn without socks. Custom made sandals are the most trending and chosen because they are comfortable so you do not need any cotton or wool socks that spoil the look without solving any major problem. Custom made sandals do everything, they can be used for feet with deformity too, and no chances of bad feet health. I feel proper sandals which is comfortable and made with elegant details and worn without socks (which gives unprofessional look with sandals) are a perfect choice for office daily wear
You're living in a fantasy. "Custom made sandals for office daily wear"—most people don't drop thousands on bespoke footwear, and your boss doesn't care. Standard sandals slip, blister, and look sloppy in professional settings period. Socks aren't the problem, sandals are. They're beach wear, not boardroom wear. Wear actual shoes to the office like everyone else, or accept the trade-off. You can't have it both ways—casual footwear that looks formal. That's not fashion, that's delusion.
Woolen socks cannot be worn everyday in summers it will make more sweating and sandals with custom made pads behind the feet and below your curve of feet make it best for health. A type of sandal known as crocs are in trend now and used in professional settings too. If more professional look is needed leather made sandals could be used. If we talk about rainy season socks make you feel disgusted if got wet on the other side sandals can dry quickly amd water can be easily removed from them.
Stop moving goalposts. First it was custom sandals, now it's Crocs—which literally have holes in them. And leather sandals in an office? Name one Fortune 500 company where that flies. Your whole argument hinges on "custom everything," but that's not reality for normal people. Socks with regular sandals beat bare feet every time—no blisters, no slipping, no stink. You're describing an imaginary perfect world instead of solving actual problems. Why not just admit sandals aren't office wear?
