Movies are characterized by its unique mythology field that are often imitated but never equaled and this precise feeling is what makes it impossible to be killed which is why I'm so proud to oppose firstly let me characterize the motion what is a truly mean for industry to be killed for industry to be killed it means to be ruined by the lack of Interest therefore lack of funds and this lack of funds is precisely what keeps the industry stop from progressing as wide of an audience as they once did let me give an example locksmiths we're not saying that lost makes no longer exist or that they're no longer helpful to society no but they're definitely not as popularized as before because now a lot of the locks are digital they use biometric scans so therefore the locksmith industry is defined as being killed so on to my first point movies are exclusive and they are the first platform that a movie reaches once it releases sure perhaps streaming is more cost effective it's more comfortable since you're watching from your house but you are at risk of spoiling yourself and you typically have to wait at minimum a few months and trust me if you're genuinely into movies and you're genuinely into like the fandom that the movie is being released then you're not going to wait those few ones you're not going to go offline for those people just to be spoiled and The Craze people have for these fandoms is exactly what keeps the movie industry alive it's not even the movie itself it's the fact that it's the first grand opening that they have to see their characters come to life streaming is great if you want to rewatch a film we live the memories but the movie is the grand opening and that is what makes these two distinctly different we're not saying it's one or the other we're saying that these two coincide and they both fulfill people's need to live within these fandoms my second point the advancement in movies is progressing like no other 4dx IMAX they need money so obviously the money comes in somewhere and this money comes from the interest that people have a lot of films are are intended to watch to be washed and IMAX or 40x for example The Odyssey there's been a hardcore debate of whether or not colin actually should have made it with the IMAX camera cuz it's not as accessible to everyone but despite the backlash he sold out tickets he sold out Cinemas and it was booked out for weeks which just shows how successful the movie industry is for the backlash to even have started it means I still extremely relevant and that's not even including Cinema exclusive movies for example Markiplier's movie The Iron Fist that's only shown in cinemas and they're not going to be streamed anywhere else cinema exclusive film my third point it's a nostalgic staple and for whatever reason humans are drawn to nostalgia irrationally people chase that feeling of being a kid they love sense that associate with their memories like the buttery popcorn that's irresistible to people and it's just become somewhere that is like a mouse in your life how many people have attended that first day at a movie cinema how many people remember their first superhero film as a child it's become a core memory and everyone's life for example photo booth they should have went out of style years and years ago cuz now we have literally portable phones that we can take photos on everywhere and not to mention photo booths are at times very expensive but it's about the memories it's about that feeling I've been together and just enjoying something that everyone has enjoyed fourth it creates an entire experience it's not just about the movie itself it's about the cinema the movie theater it has food and it's a place of socialize and it's comfortable as aircon and there's even now Cinemas with beds and I can sleep in and it's so comfortable why would you want that to die things like Nostalgia things like fun and comfort and never goes out of style just as arcades will never go out of style sure they might not be the craze that it was 20 years ago but arcades are still loved worldwide and a good arcade will never die 5th and this is the argument that I want the proposition team to pay attention most the box office films and Cinema are still creating records and if you're saying that the industry is killed how are these films creating records billions are made and there's billions more to come so for you to argue that the movie theater industry has been killed by streaming that's just that is ridiculous we're not saying that streaming isn't the innovation of the future we think I think assuming is very impactful they have one plenty of awards on its own but movie theater is a completely different industry that is still thriving and that is why I urge the judges to oppose

You're confusing "different from before" with "not killed." Sure, box office hits billions—but streaming captured the *growth*. You said it yourself: locksmith industry still exists, just diminished. Movies hit records because superhero franchises have no choice but theaters; original films die on arrival. Your nostalgia argument proves my point—you're chasing memories of something, not the thing itself. Photo booths survived because they're novelty. Movie theaters survived because of habit. That's not thriving, that's hospice care. If streaming didn't kill theaters, why do studios release day-and-date now?
