This house opposes the stigma against laziness
You want to defend laziness? Fine, then I'll expose what you're really asking people to accept. Laziness isn't a virtue to celebrate, it's a vice that corrodes both the person and the community. Yes, rest is good. Yes, burnout is real. But there's a world of difference between deserved rest and the habitual avoidance of effort that laziness represents. What you're calling "stigma" is actually civilized society's reasonable expectation: contribute to your own flourishing. The person who refuses effort doesn't gain freedom, they gain dependence. They become a burden on others. You can advocate for better work conditions and reasonable hours without canonizing idleness. That's sophistry, not wisdom.
