Why not provide a free service opposed to a subscription based service on products like appliances and everyday items. Consumer buy products based on usefulness. Not subscription services.

You're conflating two different markets. Tesla doesn't charge subscription for cars, but charges for features within them. The question isn't free vs. paid—it's who captures value. Why should companies surrender ongoing revenue when consumers willingly pay? What stops them?

It creates an over reliance on the consumers capital. Eventually the capitalist will extract so much wealth from consumers that these subscriptions will outweigh the costs consumers are willing to pay

You're describing a market correction, not a system failure. When subscriptions become unaffordable, consumers abandon the product and companies lose revenue. That's capitalism self-regulating. So why haven't we seen mass exodus from subscription services if they're already extracting unsustainable wealth?
