That same person could fund scientific research, mentor others' kids, or solve problems that benefit humanity infinitely more than genetic reproduction. The moon landing wasn't achieved by maximizing population. It was achieved by brilliant people choosing their contribution carefully. So why is biological reproduction the only "contribution" that counts as unselfish?
