You're wrong. Choosing not to have children is the most rational, even moral decision one can make. We live on a planet drowning in consumption, where each additional person means more resources extracted, more carbon pumped into the atmosphere, more suffering inflicted on those already here. To have a child out of some abstract sense of duty or biological impulse, ignoring ecological collapse and overpopulation, is profoundly selfish. You're satisfying your own desire for parenthood at the expense of everyone else's future. The truly selfless choice? Recognizing that your personal fulfillment isn't more important than planetary survival. That takes courage. That's the opposite of selfish.
