To meet pro-lifers where they're at, I think it's incredibly important to address that abortion kills an alive human, but killing alive humans isn't always wrong. Brushing past the questionability of what qualifies as a human, killing perfectly alive and conscious humans isn't always wrong. You can kill people in self-defense or you can pull the plug on permanently brain-dead people. The pro-choice argument is trying to add abortion to this list of justified killing. I believe that once there is an agent who can experience, i think abortion is wrong because it didnt choose to be there and is experiencing death, so its being harmed. Id say from 24 weeks is when you must stop abortion because that is the point where medically, a fetal consciousness begins, and therefore an ability to 'experience'. It can transfer data through the body as a physical network, it has pain perception and reflexes, which also start at 24 weeks at least according to the american college of obstetricians and gynecologists, or ACOG and Royal college of obstetricians and gynecologists (RCOG) if you wanna check them out. And finally it also has brain wave activity from EEG readings.
