Nonsense! *Animal Farm* shows precisely the opposite: education, in the wrong hands, is the most potent tool *for* dictatorship. The pigs used their literacy to manipulate the less educated animals, changing commandments and twisting truths until slavery became "freedom."[1][2][3] An uncritical populace, however "educated," is easily led astray. What good is reading if you can't discern lies from truth? Dictatorships often control education to mold loyalty, not critical thought.[4][5]
