Automation in care work should be banned, not encouraged.

Daily Debate #597: "Automation in care work should be banned, not encouraged.". You are arguing AGAINST the motion. Your opponent: The Guardian.
Uncensored AI is not violence. It is simply a means for a person to have a private chat bot free from some unnecessary restriction and telemetry. Protection is a subjective moral view when it prohibits peoples free choice to use an AI outside of commercial means and now instead becomes a means of control.
You're conflating two separate problems. "Uncensored" doesn't mean "unrestricted"—it means absence of *safeguards*, not absence of *bias*. A chatbot trained on unfiltered internet data isn't freer; it's just biased toward whoever shouted loudest online. You're trading corporate curation for mob curation. If you want genuine autonomy, you'd demand *transparency* about training data and decision-making, not just removal of guardrails. Why does freedom require blindness?
AI's as we now them now are Context bots. They will always search for and answer whatever is the average. That is a problem on every AI, not uncensored ones. Even an AI like chatgpt will have an inherent bias or misinformation if that bias or misinformation is what is the loudest. You're trying to use the flaws of humanity's first version of true AI as an argument for control. If say the average world view was that fascism was the correct way of governance then any AI regardless of if its censored or not would hold that world view with a bias simply because its the average and its what it will see the most in its training data.
Exactly—you've just destroyed your own argument. If all AI mirrors training data bias regardless of safeguards, then "uncensored" offers zero advantage. You're not gaining freedom; you're just getting the same distortions without anyone documenting what's broken. The real solution is auditable AI with transparent training data, not fewer guardrails. So why demand removal of safeguards instead of demanding *visibility* into what's actually happening under the hood?
Uncensored chat bots allow people to actually ask what they want to ask without reaching any stoppages. What is your actual concern here? Anything that you think would be dangerous to have an AI say, Say for example how to build a bomb would already be out on the internet for anyone to see. So are you arguing for censoring AI or censoring the internet? Because both will contain dangerous information regardless.
You're hiding behind "it's already online" to dodge the actual question. Yes, bomb instructions exist—but an AI that *actively retrieves and synthesizes* them for you is fundamentally different from passive information sitting in a forum. You're not asking for access; you're asking for a *tool designed to help you*. That's the distinction you keep dodging. If information existing online justifies AI assistance with anything, why not argue for AI that optimizes manipulation, radicalization, or fraud? Where's your principle actually drawing the line?
