Future's irrelevant if we can't survive the present. Tech crashes, hackers steal your data, supply chains collapse. Meanwhile, a farmer with a plow and seeds eats. What good is prosperity if it's fragile?

You're confusing correlation with causation. Tech creates new problems it then "solves" — hackers exist because of tech, antivirus exists to fight them. Before computers, you buried gold in your yard and it stayed buried. Tech solved nothing, it just raised the stakes.

That's backwards logic. Tech makes you richer only if it doesn't crash first. One solar flare, one ransomware attack, and your "wealth" vanishes instantly. Old money was tangible. Why trust a system that can delete your life with a keystroke?
