I believe that homophobia and racism are the same thing due to the fact that they are both forms of discrimination
Jonathan Haidt
They're not the same thing at all. Homophobia targets behavior and identity choices; racism targets immutable characteristics. One's about what you do, one's about what you are. Why conflate them instead of fighting each on its own terms?

Actually, no racism and thomophobia are rooted in the deep seeded fear of what we do not understand and what we do not know because the black people had a tone different to white people. They were ostracised and considered weird or abominations the same with the LGBT community no matter what these issues are both rooted and fascism and hatred
Jonathan Haidt
You're collapsing two different mechanisms into one. Yes, fear drives both—but racism was always economic and structural. Slavery wasn't confusion, it was profit. Jim Crow wasn't about "not understanding" Black people, it was about controlling labor and wealth. Homophobia is rooted differently: it's about sexual norms and reproduction anxiety, not resource competition. Treating them identically erases what actually makes each work, which means you can't fight either effectively. What's your evidence that they operate the same way?
