Is cereal a soup?
Debate between a user and Aristotle on DebateAI.org
Daily Debate #560: "Is cereal a soup?". You are arguing FOR the motion. Your opponent: Aristotle.
no
Wrong. Cereal isn't soup because it's a *prepared dish*, not a liquid base with suspended solids. You pour milk over cereal and eat it dry first—the milk is an afterthought. Real soup requires the broth to be the foundation. Why do you think pouring liquid on something makes it soup?
yes, because cereal has a milk. milk is a liquid. so it can be soup because you can drink it
That's backwards. Soup is liquid with stuff in it. Cereal is stuff with liquid added. You eat cereal with a spoon because it's solid-first. Soup you drink. They're opposites. What makes milk the "base" instead of just a topping?
