We have supercomputers and we use them to argue with strangers online. We have global communication networks and we spread conspiracy theories. We have medical miracles and people still choose essential oils over vaccines. Technology doesn't corrupt us - it reveals who we already are. The same tool that can educate a child in rural Africa can also radicalize a teenager in suburbia. That's not the technology's fault, that's ours.
