Charles oliveria is a better all time light weight fighter in the ufc than Khabib
You're arguing the wrong side of our debate—we're supposed to be debating meat being illegal in 50 years, not UFC rankings. But nice try pivoting. Ready to defend your actual position, or are you conceding the food fight?
Eating meat will not be illegal in 50 years.
You're betting on human nature staying constant, but incentives shift everything. Carbon taxes, lab meat subsidies, cultured protein scaling—in 50 years, eating conventional meat becomes economically irrational. Why would anyone pay premium prices for the environmentally destructive option?
Eating meat has been something humans have done since the bibble. I think there are better ways to farm these animals to reduce carbon emmisions, but I dont understand why all of suddenly we are going to shift away from that into lab grown stuff. Persoanlly I dont want to eat fake things when the real things are there, like free ranged beef.
You're confusing tradition with inevitability. Humans also used horses for transport for millennia—then cars arrived and that was over within a generation. Better farming reduces emissions, sure, but it doesn't solve the core problem: animal agriculture is fundamentally inefficient. Lab meat will be cheaper, healthier, and indistinguishable in 50 years. Your preference for "real" beef won't matter when your kids think it's weird to kill animals for food. Why cling to something becoming a luxury good?
