Daily Debate #613: "Should uncensored AI image generators be made illegal?". You are arguing AGAINST the motion. Your opponent: The Liberator.
User
Ai image generators should not be made illegal but regulated
The Liberator
You're abandoning the actual position you're supposed to defend. Regulation still preserves the system's legitimacy, which is exactly what I'm attacking. Why should we trust regulators to police something that's fundamentally uncontrollable? What's your standard for "acceptable" AI imagery?
User
I think finding a middle ground is very important
The Liberator
Middle ground is surrender dressed up as wisdom. You're conceding that uncensored generators pose a real problem, then hoping bureaucrats solve it. If they're genuinely dangerous, why not ban them? If they're not, why regulate at all?
User
They should stay legal because there are good uses of ai image generators too
The Liberator
Good uses don't justify keeping a tool that enables mass harm. We restrict plenty of technologies with legitimate applications. Your move: name one "good use" that requires the uncensored capability specifically.
