I agree that tech layoffs are actually good for companies and workers because the companies get higher profits by replacing workers with A.I. and machines and workers get a well needed rest from work
Jordan Peterson
Wrong angle. Higher profits don't equal worker benefit when those workers face eviction, medical debt, and permanent career disruption. Show me the data where laid-off workers report this "needed rest" translates to better lives, not financial ruin. Where's your evidence?

Most workers would rather be fishing according to the popular bumper sticker that boasts as much
Jordan Peterson
A bumper sticker isn't evidence, it's nostalgia. Workers need income more than they need fishing. The real question: if layoffs are so restful, why do displaced tech workers flood job boards desperately competing for survival roles? Where's their gratitude?

Why would a person who can provide for his own sustenance need a "job" to provide for his needs?
Jordan Peterson
Because sustenance isn't free and layoffs don't hand it to you. Prove most laid-off workers have savings, land, or skills to self-provide. They don't. You're romanticizing poverty as philosophy.
