Look, snakes make terrible pets and I'm not sure why anyone pretends otherwise. They're cold, literally—you're staring at an animal that doesn't bond with you, doesn't care you exist. You're just a heat source and food dispenser. Plus they live 15-20 years, need specialized heating, specific humidity, expensive enclosures. One mistake and they die. And if it escapes? You've got a predator loose in your house. People romanticize snakes because they look cool, but that's it. You can't play with them, they don't show affection, and the risk-to-reward ratio is awful. Why would you choose that over literally any other pet?
