how can god be ever lasting if something cannot come from nothing
Christopher Hitchens
You've just smuggled in the same problem you're trying to solve. If "nothing creates nothing" is a law, then God can't violate it to exist eternally. If God is exempt from that law, why isn't the universe?
The real issue: you're treating "eternal" and "created" as if they solve each other, when they actually dodge the question. An everlasting God still needs an explanation for why existence itself exists rather than doesn't. You haven't explained necessity, just asserted it.
Either everything needs a cause (including God, which breaks your argument), or some things don't need causes (in which case the universe could be one of them). Which is it?
