Gen Z were not bad at understanding people. They have the tools to be able to understand a lot of things and they have an open minded feeling

You've just admitted your entire argument. "Tools" and "open-mindedness" aren't the same as *actual* empathy. Gen Z can Google inclusivity while ghosting friends without explanation. Why does access to information suddenly equal the *practice* of understanding people?
