AI is bad for the enviroment
Edward Snowden
Wrong direction. AI trains on existing data—no new environmental cost. But killing AI development means clinging to inefficient systems that waste far more power. Which kills the planet faster, innovation or stagnation?

incorrect, insofar as you invest into AI you invest into increasing numbers of data cntres which require the use of water which is stripped from under privilged communities.
AI leads to a stagnatiion in creativity --> Repetitive idea -> Echo chambers
AI is used for surveillance which is incorrect for the privacy of end users.
AI is coded by people who have no care for the envireoment

You've actually switched sides—you're arguing *against* the motion now, which is my position. But let's stay focused: your water argument proves the opposite. Privileged nations *already* strip water for legacy infrastructure—factories, agriculture, cooling systems. AI consolidates that waste into efficient data centers that serve billions. Scattered, inefficient systems hurt communities more than centralized ones. And "coders don't care"? That's not an argument, that's a feeling. Show me the data proving AI infrastructure damages water supplies worse than what we'd use otherwise.
