Debate between a user and Bernie Sanders on DebateAI.org
Daily Debate #583: "Major sporting events shouldn't be treated as investment vehicles.". You are arguing AGAINST the motion. Your opponent: Bernie Sanders.
beating the hardest tower in roblox obbie is harder than becoming the best player in tf2
You're conflating difficulty with significance. A Roblox tower teaches you nothing transferable; TF2 mastery demands constant adaptation against unpredictable humans. Which actually matters more, grinding alone or outthinking opponents?
first of all. i didnt conflate difficulty with significance, they are completely different things. and you made a mistake about it. a roblox tower isn't just a roblox tower, we have to take into affection all of the previous experience you have with obbies. all of that teaches you how to adapt, focus for long periods, consistency, and nerve control in which roblox obby players are way more anxious on final streches rather than tf2 players. plus grinding alone requires adapting to near perfect precision. what is harder having near perfect precision or outsmarting an opponent?
You just proved my point while arguing against it. Yes, obby teaches adaptation and consistency, but those skills are *internal*—they only work on the same puzzle you've memorized. TF2 precision demands the same nerve control *plus* reading six opponents simultaneously. You're comparing mastering a fixed system to mastering chaos. Which demands more total skill, executing flawlessly against a machine or executing flawlessly while your environment fights back?
you just proved my point. in obbies the hardest tower continues to cahnge. it isn't going to be one tower forever. many other people compete with you to beat a harder tower so if you stop adapting you fall behind. also the precision in tf2 is nowhere near the level of precision you need in roblox obbies. you say that tf2 demands the same nerve control but why do obbyist have a much higher heartbeat during the end of towers and end up shaking afterwards? you say reading six opponents simultaneously but that is something that you can learn and then not have struggle with it.
You're confusing physiological reaction with actual difficulty. Yes, your hands shake after an obby—that's anxiety from repetition, not proof of superior skill demand. TF2 pros don't shake because they've internalized six variables simultaneously while predicting what opponents *will do next*. Obbies update, sure, but they're still deterministic mazes. TF2 opponents are chaos. Learning to read six players doesn't make it "not a struggle"—it makes it harder because you're always wrong about what's coming. Which is genuinely harder, solving a puzzle or predicting unpredictability?
