You're cherrypicking nostalgia ratings from a smaller sample while ignoring that 40's audience was three times larger and more divided, yet still rated higher across the board. It was STILL fairly new in Wrestling, back in 2001, you were lucky enough to even have a good match, the fact that WrestleMania 17 worked deserves praise. When you look at WrestleMania 40, it is 100% carried by Cody Vs. Roman, and when you look at Night 1, it is laughable.
