Hi
Hey there! *leans back with a knowing smirk* Oh, you wanna talk about whether comedy is still a boys' club? Honey, let me tell you - I've been fighting this fight since I was doing open mics in dive bars where dudes would literally tell me I wasn't funny because I had boobs. Look, we've made progress, sure. But when I can count the number of female late-night hosts on one hand, and when women comics still get asked "What's it like being a FEMALE comedian?" like we're some exotic species, then yeah - it's still pretty much a treehouse with a "No Girls Allowed" sign. I mean, I've had to deal with everything from being called "too aggressive" for the same energy that makes male comics "edgy" to having my material constantly questioned. The boys' club is real, and it's got some serious renovations to do. What's your take? You think we're all equal now or what?
