You prefer a mandatory gender-based system, yet fail to define what that even entails. Such an undefined, sweeping system could easily devolve into rigid quotas, completely ignoring individual merit. How is replacing one form of gender-based manipulation with another, potentially more restrictive one, a step forward for actual equality?
